Wexford Health has an exceptional opportunity for a Part Time (16 hours/week) Mental Health Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team of healthcare professionals at Ventress Correctional Facility in Clayton, Alabama.

Provides skilled nursing services to patients in correctional settings with psychiatric or developmental disabilities, under the direction of a professional Registered Nurse or medical director
Prepares nursing assignments as assigned.
Sets up prescribed medications in accordance with patients' nursing care plans.
Administers medications to patients.
Monitors effects of medications; records medications given and patient's reactions.
Provide nursing treatments as outlined in the plan of care.
Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of the inmate.
Assesses, develops, and monitors programs for self-administration of medications.
Works with departmental staff to coordinate medical appointments as necessary.
Assists in carrying out rehabilitation programming and activities for residents such as role model interactions, development of social skills, development of daily living skills, reality orientation, recreational skills, etc.
Assists in controlling aggressive or disruptive behavior.
Provides personal care services as needed to patient's including oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, nail care, shaving, diapering and dressing.
Assists patients at mealtime and feeds patients needing assistance.
Follows and enforces security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
Adheres to and enforces safety and security policies and participates in disaster drills.
Attends mandatory and optional in-service training.
Attends mandatory in-services on annual basis.
Adheres to safety and security policies and participates in disaster drills.
Provides documentation in accordance with unit policies and procedures.
Standard medical setting in a correctional facility, which includes daily interfacing with inmates, correctional staff, and health care personnel. Temperature extremes may be encountered while moving throughout the facility outdoors and indoors in buildings without air conditioning.
Minimum Requirements
The following requirements list the minimum to qualify. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
LICENSING: Licensed as a Practical Nurse by the Alabama Board of Nursing (ASBN)
CERTIFICATION: Current CPR certification
EDUCATION: Possession of a certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure from the ASBN.
Experience with the special needs and behavior of individuals in forensic and correctional settings preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
